210 W. Fulton (Building Hope)
We are currently partnered with the City of Edgerton and Edgerton Community Outreach to renovate the oldest building in town. This will provide six apartments to serve as long-term transitional housing for veterans with families, a community space, and a permanent home for our post. Voice of Democracy
What is the Voice of Democracy Program?
Since 1947, the Voice of Democracy has been the Veterans of
Foreign Wars’ (VFW’s) premier scholarship program. Each year,
nearly 80,000 high school students compete for more than $2
million in scholarships and incentives. Students compete by
writing and recording an audio essay on an annual patriotic
theme. This year’s theme is, “Why Is The Veteran Important?”
The Voice of Democracy is open to students in grades 9-12.

Patriot's Pen
What is the Patriot’s Pen Program?
Conducted nationwide, this VFW-sponsored youth essay
competition gives students an opportunity to write essays
expressing their views on an annual patriotic theme.
We invite you to join the more than 84,000 students who
participated last year in this contest. VFW’s Commander-in-Chief annually chooses the year’s theme. The 2022-2023 theme is:
“My Pledge To Our Veterans.” Patriot’s Pen is open to students in grades 9-12.
