The Chaplain's Handbook
The "Unmet Needs" Program is offered as part of the Wisconsin VFW's commitment to serving our comrades-in-arms when they need a helping hand. It is not, however, a "hand out" program. The assistance this program offers is directed toward financial assistance that could help pay bills that provide for basic life needs.

It is the mission of the Rock County Veterans Services Department to advocate for and provide assistance to all veterans of the U.S. Armed Services, their dependents, and survivors. The Department staff is committed to treating every customer with the respect and dignity they deserve.
The VFW is dedicated to promoting patriotism and investing in our future generation. If you are a democracy-loving high school student interested in a $30,000 college scholarship (Our Voice of Democracy Scholarship competition) or a patriotic middle school student interested in winning $5,000 (Our Patriot's Pen Essay Competition), these scholarships may be for you.

VA Benefits for Service Members
VFW National Home
PACT Act
If you're serving on active duty in the United States uniformed services, including active National Guard and Reserve with federal pay, you may be eligible for VA benefits both during service and after separation or retirement. If you're a traditional or technical member of the National Guard and Reserve, you may also be eligible for some VA benefits. Find out which benefits you may qualify for—and when to apply. You'll also learn about these benefits in your required Transition Assistance Program (TAP) briefing.
Finding refuge from crisis...
Almost a century ago, the VFW National Home began as a place where families left behind by war could remain together. Today, the National Home has evolved to meet the changing needs of America’s military and veterans’ families.
